The house

Geilin is a traditional Faroese house, restored with care to preserve its quiet character and sense of space.

The house includes:

  • six bedrooms

  • two living rooms

  • a fully equipped kitchen

  • dining space for shared meals

Depending on room use and the nature of the stay, Geilin can accommodate 6–12 overnight guests.

  • Two living rooms with traditional interiors

  • Fully equipped kitchen

  • Dining space for shared meals

  • Immediate access to the surrounding landscape

The basement level offers additional, functional facilities that make Geilin suitable for larger groups and group-based stays.

The basement includes:

  • A spacious and flexible room that serves both as a sleeping area with mattresses for larger groups (such as scout groups or school classes) and as a seminar or activity room for workshops, meetings, and other gatherings.

  • Toilets and showers.

  • Washing machine and laundry facilities.

  • A utility/kitchen room (currently without cooking facilities).

Before your visit, we can help you:

  • choose the best ferry or helicopter connections

  • plan arrival and departure in relation to weather and schedules

  • understand local conditions and seasonal rhythms

  • decide what supplies to bring

  • prepare for a calm and comfortable stay

Our aim is to make your journey to Fugloy as smooth and uncomplicated as possible.

Meals can be prepared in the house in advance by agreement.
